Yeah, Ed’s solos are not as melodiously driven as momentum driven during a live show. As far back as you can see here on the YT vids, he goes off in his little world, never straying from the song per se but losing the the focal point of the song and leaving the rhythm up to the bass and drums. It’s different if anything but…
